Coffee neutralized Pain


Cup of coffee drunk by runners, gymnasts and riders before the move believed to make them more energy. Besides coffee was efficacious pain relief when doing athletic activities, according to new research.

Interestingly, these properties can work on anyone even in people who are not accustomed to drinking coffee

"Caffeine in coffee working on systems in the brain and adenosine neuromodulatory system, which regulates pain full process. Then caffeine will form adenosine, the biochemical substance that is instrumental in transferring energy and this will minimize the pain, "said Professor Robert Molt of the University of Illinois, as reported by Live Science, Thursday, 04/02/2009).

To find the answer, researchers surveyed approximately 25 able-bodied person. They were divided into two groups, namely those who rarely consume caffeine and which has an average caffeine consumption of 400 milligrams per day, equivalent to three to four cups of coffee.

After doing athletic exercises in order to determine maximal oxygen or aerobic power, respondents again asked to exercise for 30 minutes.

At the beginning of each session, cyclists who do not consume caffeine given pills containing five milligrams of caffeine per kilogram of body weight, equivalent to two to three cups of coffee.

During the second period of this exercise, respondents perceptions of pain in the arm muscles was recorded at regular intervals, along with the data consumed oxygen levels, heart rates and workout numbers.

As a result, the coffee drinking habits of a person having a value equal to the amount of reduction in pain during exercise after caffeine consumption.
