Tarawih Prayer For Health Benefits
"The level of muscle metabolism increases when to pray, causing a lack of oxygen and muscle nutrients. When you sign in tarawih prayer, circulating glucose will be metabolized into carbon dioxide and water to remain stable.
Not only that, the prayers recited during Taraweeh help spending the extra calories and improve flexibility, coordination, reduce stress, anxiety and depression.
Furthermore, Dr. Ibrahim explains the benefits of Taraweeh prayers for health, namely:
1. Improve physical fitness
When doing a little extra effort in performing Tarawih prayers, increased endurance, stamina, flexibility and strength. Prayers produce the same physiological changes such as jogging or running, but without the side effects.
A study of 17,000 Harvard alumni provide strong evidence that aerobic exercise equivalent to jogging about 3 miles a day, can improve health and extend life. Men who expend energy about 2000 kcal per week had a mortality rate of one-fourth to one-third lower than that little or no exercise.
2. Improve endurance elderly
As you age, the activity of a person is reduced because bones become thinner. If not treated, the risk of osteoporosis is waiting. This disorder most women experience when entering menopause due to decreased estrogen.
When performing repetitive movements and regularly for prayer, then the strength of the muscles, tendons, joint flexibility and the cardiovascular response increases.
