Beat The Flu With Simple Home Remedies
If you have fever, cough, nasal congestion, chills, aches and sore throat, then most probably you are suffering from flu. H1N1 is not that hard to treat. The influenza virus keeps on mutating every year, so its quite hard to develop a vaccine that can help in each winter. There are also many other reasons that you catch influenza in winters. These reasons include staying indoors with many people, virus ability to survive even on nonporous surfaces, and their airborne ability when someone coughs or sneezes. There are many steps that can help you to feel better while suffering from influenza. These steps also include simple home remedies. Drink plenty of water as influenza can leave you dehydrated. Juices can also be a good choice to keep your bodys water content high. Drink juices with vitamin C in them as vitamin C helps boost up the immune system. Dont use the caffeine beverages as it is diuretic. You can drink herbal tea or ginger tea which can help you treat influenza quite magically. Ginger tea is not that hard to make. Just take an inch long peeled piece of ginger and boil it. When it starts boiling, add about 1/8 teaspoon of tea. Now pour it in your cup and add some sugar to taste. The ginger tea can help you feel better in flu. Also, drink chicken soup. The fumes of the soup also make you feel better.
Rest as much as you can. It will help your body concentrate its energy in fighting the disease. Give your body a little help in fighting the virus and lie down in a bed. Read some books and enjoy your soup or ginger tea. Gargles can help you a lot with your sore throat. Just put a teaspoon of salt in warm water and use it 2-4 times daily to moist your throat. Take a steamy shower. It will help reduce body aches and chills that you have in flu. A shower will help you feel better, but take care while taking a shower. Dont dry your body immediately as the flu can get worse.
Steam can help a lot in influenza. Take a pot and boil water in it. Now take a towel or blanket over your head and inhale the steam. Add some peppermint or eucalyptus oil in the water to open your nasal ways. Avoid this method if you have some other issues with your respiratory tract like asthma. If a friend or family member wants to help you in your illness, let them. Having someone around will make you feel better and you will have to step out of your blanket only when its necessary.
Take loads of vitamins and minerals. Vitamins and minerals like vitamin C and zinc help boost your immune system and hence, help you get well soon. Take zinc tablets or vitamin C tablets. While sleeping, put an extra pillow under your head that will keep your head up. This will ensure that you dont take in the mucus that is coming out. Avoid using aspirin if you have influenza. Sneeze and wipe the mucus with tissue paper. Use a new tissue every time you sneeze. Use some menthol hard candies to ease your throat. It will help open your throat and make you feel better.
Influenza is not that hard to cure. All you have to do is take some extra care of yourself, and you will be able to treat it in no time.

A Simple Tactic To Stop Nail Biting
Many nail biters have difficulty visualizing well groomed nails when they have their rough and serrated nails in front of their eyes. You need to take some time to imagine how the white edges will finally go beyond the tips of your fingers and form attractive nails that you will be able to place in front of you on tables confidently without the anxiety of others seeing them. It would be such a relief for you to not waste your energy on hiding your hands from everyone. Imagine how people will comment on your pretty nails and how that will boost up your pride.
If this does not work, simply cut out a picture of beautifully groomed nails from a magazine or search for an appropriate photo on the internet and print it out.
When you have a vivid mental vision of your ideal nails, compare them to your present unappealing nails and your determination to quit nail biting will definitely increase.
Several people are skeptic about this method. They ask how imagining the end result can increase your chances of victory. Actually, the brain cannot differentiate between what you are imagining and what it is actually seeing. This technique cunningly tricks the mind into thinking that you have long nails, and then you will automatically work towards attaining them as quickly as you can. Many successful athletes in the world use this method to win contests and competitions. They are living proof of how effective this way really is.
Keep envisioning the output of your efforts for a few weeks and the key is: dont give up. Soon you will be very close to fulfilling your objective.
This simple tip may sound silly or even unrealistic, but when applied it will make the difference between being successful and not being successful. Its an important part of the equation to keep things in a good, health matter and do the steps outlined that will bring you closer to success and faster than you might have though possible.

Flu Home Remedies Simple And Easy To Use
Unfortunately none of us are immune to getting sick, especially in the winter when we spend more time inside spreading germs back and forth to one another. If you have the flu and want to get over it as soon as possible, who wouldnt?, then here are some simple flu home remedies that should help.
Of course, if youre vomiting and/or have diarrhea to the point where you cant keep anything down you may want to visit your doctor. There are some nasty flu strains going around and even if the flu you have is just a normal seasonal flu, its still easy to get dehydrated which in itself can be dangerous. Better to be safe than sorry.

In the meantime, try these simple remedies so you can start feeling better sooner:
1. If you are suffering from a sore throat a good remedy is a saltwater gargle. All you have to do is add about a teaspoon of salt to a glass of warm water and mix. Take a large amount in your mouth, dont swallow it, and gargle. Repeat a few times. Make sure you dont swallow the salt water because that can upset your stomach even further. You can do this several times throughout the day.
2. To ease your sore throat and calm your stomach you can use a blend of herbs to make a tea. Mix bayberry bark with ginger root in the following amounts: 1 teaspoon of bayberry bark, 1 teaspoon of grated ginger, and 1/2 teaspoon of cayenne powder and add to 1 cup of boiling water, allow it to steep for about 30 minutes than enjoy.
3. There are many home made cough syrup recipes you can use (check out this free ebook on herbal cures to find out more), for now try this one: take two parts elecampane root , two parts marshmallow root, and one part horehound root, mix altogether and cover with honey. Let stand in a warm area of your home for about 24 hours. Strain the mixture and take syrup as needed, about a teaspoon at a time.
There are many other types of cough syrup and tea recipes that can help you feel better when you are sick. You may want to try different recipes to find the ones that you like the best: have the best flavor and work well for you.
And of course if you want to prevent sickness keep stocked up on some things that will help keep your immune system strong: Vitamin C, garlic, cinnamon, and honey to name a few. You can also add some fresh lemon juice to warm water and drink it daily to keep your immune system in tip top shape.
Hopefully you can escape the cold and flu season unscathed, but if you do catch some nasty bug use these flu home remedies. Not only can they help you feel better sooner, you can save some money on all the expensive over the counter medications. Youre already sick, you dont need to make it worse by having a big bill from your local drug store!
